A little sunshine on this rainy day…

For the most part we have enjoyed a pretty nice spring around here and I just wanted to post some sunny day photos to remind everyone what the sun looks like.  Because I hurt my wrist playing volleyball I have been unable to partake in the excitement of golfing with my boys, so I have been bringing the camera to the course instead.  At least it is something to help take my mind off the depressing fact that I am banned from swinging a club for a few more weeks.  Having a camera on the boys is also my way of preparing them for all of the paparazzi that will be taking their photo when they play in the PGA (yes, I have high hopes for them…but doesn’t every mother dream big for her kids?)

the Columbo Family

Woohoo!  I was so nice to see these two again, plus their beautiful little girl Brynley.  The last time I saw them Emily was pregnant and before that the two of them were getting married on a quiet rainy day at Lairmont Manor.  Seems like time just flies by and now they are pregnant with another little one.  How exciting!!!!  They have a name picked out, but are keeping it a secret which will be a fun surprise.  It was great photographing them again and we were lucky to enjoy such a beautiful spring morning.  Looking forward to photographing you all again when you are a family of four.

Fun with Sarah and David! {seattle engagement photography}

There is nothing I love more than shooting a beautiful couple in a new and fun location.  I met up with David and Sarah just outside Seattle and then hopped in the car with them to head downtown (I have a bit of claustrophobia when it comes to traffic in big cities).  We found a parking place and David showed off his amazing parallel parking skills before we started shooting.  What a great evening to walk around Pike Place Market and photograph wherever something looks like fun!  After a little exercise around Pike Place we got back in the car and headed out to this amazing park that overlooked the city.  AMAZING!  It was the perfect finish to a beautiful session.  I’m looking forward to working with them again on their big day in September.  Happy viewing!

Hello Gorgeous Album… {custom album design}

Mmmmmm….Introducing the newest product in the Medcalf Photography line-up, ASABooks!  I first touched these albums back in the winter of 2009 (as my son would say a REALLY long time ago) at the WPPI conference in Las Vegas (a big photographer schmooze fest).  My purpose in going there was to decide on an album from the plethora of suppliers to offer my clients.  When I found their booth I fell in love.  Not only do they offer a great quality album, but they are made in Bellevue, WA.  You know what they say right?  “Buy Local, Keep the Change”.  Why did it take me three years to order my sample album you ask, I haven’t the foggiest.  Wish I would have done this a lot sooner.  When the album arrived in the mail I could hardly contain myself.  So beautiful!  I am very excited to design these for my wedding and portrait clients.  Yes, that is actual wood and leather on the cover.  Got a disc?  Need an album?  Let me know and I would be happy to work with you.  Already a client?  Order by your album by April 30th, 2012 and get 10% off!  This makes a great addition to any coffee table and will be the envy of all your friends and families coffee tables.

Welcome to the world Morgan!

Well isn’t this a precious little darling.  Welcome to the world baby Morgan!  What a beautiful and sweet little girl to work with.  Carrie and Sean are very loving with her and I know that she is in great hands.  In infant speak we would say that she is a very long baby, but according to dad she is already really “tall”!  Congratulations you two on such a beautiful addition to your family.
